3% Commission Disclosure
Effective July 1, 2026 · Maintained by SLAB, Inc.
SLAB is a fee-transparent marketplace. This disclosure explains exactly how our commission works so buyers, sellers, and closing agents can plan for it.
1. Amount
SLAB charges a flat commission equal to three percent (3.00%) of the final gross sale price of each completed transaction between users introduced through the Service. There are no listing fees, monthly subscriptions, or hidden charges for either party.
2. Who Pays
The commission is deducted from the seller's proceeds, unless the buyer and seller agree in writing to split or shift it. SLAB does not add a buyer premium.
3. When It Is Charged
For transactions closed through a third-party closing agent, the commission is disclosed on the settlement statement and paid to SLAB at closing. For transactions where SLAB facilitates payment via Stripe or Stripe Connect, the commission is automatically deducted from the payout and the net proceeds are remitted to the seller.
4. Refunds & Reversals
If a completed transaction is unwound within 30 days by mutual written agreement or by court order, SLAB will refund the commission net of any non-recoverable third-party processor fees, upon receipt of documentation.
5. Off-Platform Circumvention
If a seller and buyer introduced on the Service close a transaction outside the Service within 12 months of the introduction to avoid commission, the seller remains liable to SLAB for a fee equal to 3% of the gross sale price plus reasonable enforcement costs.
6. Taxes
The commission is exclusive of any applicable taxes; users are responsible for their own tax obligations.
